This week, I interviewed Chris Lilley, the creator/writer/star of HBO's new comedy series Summer Heights High, about what it's like to play Jonah Takalua, what's next for him and the characters, and those rumors that he refused to sell the format rights for Summer Heights High.

I also offered up my thoughts on what appeared to be a strangely controversial episode of Chuck, wrote an advance review of the season premiere of Bravo's Top Chef as well as a detailed deconstruction of the episode, announced the cast of characters for Season Three of Skins, and shared my joyous enthusiasm for the return of FX's Damages, among other things.

This week, I offered up some tantalizing spoilers as I took an advance look at the next three episodes of NBC's Chuck, including Monday's episode, which is the best of the series to date. I also waxed ecstatic about HBO's latest comedy offering, Australian comedy series Summer Heights High (which I've now seen twice in full), announced the return date for ABC's Lost, and discussed FOX's decision to stick Joss Whedon's Dollhouse in a Friday night timeslot.

This week, I was absolutely gutted by David Tennant's decision to leave Doctor Who at the end of 2009 and came up with some suggestions as to who could succeed Tennant as the Eleventh Doctor.

I also chastised the writers of NBC's The Office for a truly lackluster episode that made me want to rip out my own hair and sadly wasted the potential for a bittersweet departure of temporary cast member Amy Ryan, waxed lyrical about the fantastic third season premiere of 30 Rock, reviewed the DVD release of The 4400: The Complete Series, and was utterly charmed once again by Chuck.

All that and my thoughts about the awe-inspiring second season finale of AMC's Mad Men.

Elsewhere in the sophisticated TV-obsessed section of the blogosphere, members of the TV Blog Coalition were discussing the following items...
  • There have been so many Grey's Anatomy hookups and romances over the years, it's hard to keep count. Which is your all-time favorite? (BuzzSugar)

  • A longtime friend of Vance's wrote this past week's The Office episode and Vance gives it a totally unbiased review. (Tapeworthy)
  • On the topic of Gossip Girl, Sara thinks that Chuck's a bore, Nate's a dim bulb and Dan and Serena keep having the same conversations over and over! (TiFaux)
  • This week, the TV Addict took a brief look at LIFE ON MARS (The TV Addict)
  • What can be done to save Heroes? TV Spy’s answer to Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross, Ben and Gareth, have the answers! (TV Spy)
  • Kate loved the second episode of Stylista even more than the first one! (TV Filter)

This week, I once again fell under the spell of Pushing Daisies and its goose down goodness, but wished that more people were actually tuning in to watch this winsome series before it gets prematurely culled by ABC. I also genuinely enjoyed this past week's episode of The Office (sadly, a more and more rare feat), took a look at the promo for Season Five of Lost, reviewed the upcoming DVD release for Doctor Who: The Infinite Quest, and offered my thoughts on the penultimate episode of Mad Men (for this season, anyway) and the latest kick-ass installment of Chuck.

Elsewhere in the sophisticated TV-obsessed section of the blogosphere, members of the TV Blog Coalition were discussing the following items...

  • How better to gear up for the US presidential election than with a West Wing quiz? (BuzzSugar)
  • This week, Sandie shared an interview with Daniel Gerroll from The Starter Wife (Daemon's TV)
  • The return of Roy (ok really David Denman) on The Office made GMMR very happy. As did Kristin Chenoweth's gut busting prank on Ellen (Give Me My Remote)
  • Disappointed by the lack of a good directory of online web series, Rae wants to know what you're web series you're watching. (RTVW)
  • Ladies and gentlemen, the easiest review ever in the history of the world: Black Ice by AC/DC. (Scooter McGavin's 9th Green)
  • Vance is totally sweet on the Top 16 dancers on So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Plus appearances by Benji Schwimmer and High School Musical director Kenny Ortega! (Tapeworthy)
  • Not watching Friday Night Lights so far this season? Well, Sara has a bit of a recap for all you stragglers. (TiFaux)
  • Coming to you all the way from foggy ol’ London town, Ben and Gareth dip their bread soldiers into the hard-boiled Curate’s egg that is Heroes, only, again, to find they are left with more questions than answers. (TV Spy)
  • The TV Addict took a closer look at Simon Baker and THE MENTALIST (The TV Addict)

  • Dan found a show you most definitely aren't watching. The internet cooking show Cooking With Dog mixes the art of Japanese cuisine with gimmicky kitsch, resulting in a hypnotically pleasing canine cooking show. (TiFaux)
  • The TV Addict offered up a closer look at some HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER clues that you may have missed [The TV Addict]
  • Kate became fascinated with Valentine, because it's pretty much the worst show ever made. (TV Filter)
