Jace Lacob is a consultant, writer, and editor whose work has appeared in Newsweek, The Daily Beast, BBC.com, The Los Angeles Times, BuzzFeed, Film.com, TVWeek, and West Hollywood Lifestyle. He was most recently the entertainment editorial director of BuzzFeed and previously served as the deputy west coast bureau chief for The Daily Beast/Newsweek, and The Daily Beast’s television critic. Before embarking on a career in journalism, Jace worked in the television industry for more than seven years, both on the domestic and international sides — in development, co-productions, and acquisitions.

He is also the founder of Televisionary, an award-winning television website which began in 2006 and focused on U.S. and U.K. television programming, news, reviews, and interviews. 

Jace holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences and a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from New York University. He also studied Literature at Oxford University (Wadham College) and has recently completed writing his first novel.

* Interview preparation (particularly for new/emerging writers and showrunners)
* Collaborating with publicity, marketing, and social teams on content rollouts to prioritize outreach, placement, and asset management from an editorial perspective
* Reconfiguring homepage programming, display copy, and art and streamlining current editorial processes
* Solidifying editorial voice and codifying in-house editorial standards
* Initiating targeted print/online media outreach, pairing potential breakout stories with specific journalists and outlets, creating editorial partnerships, and strengthening relationships with media outlets
* Overhauling media accreditation process and creating comprehensive database of entertainment journalist contacts
* Identifying training needs for staff re: writing/editorial
* Liaising with design and product teams to refine in-house content management system
* Pinpointing specific social media strategies that are based around editorial priorities
* Proofreading or editing of press packs, press releases and other one-off publicity materials, and website content with a specific eye towards editorial
* Creating custom online content such as blogs, synopses, and interviews, etc.
